ROD LICENCES
It is that time of year again when the Environment Agency Rod Licences need renewing. From April 1 the new licence has come into force for all anglers over the age of 12.
The fees for 2008/09 are as follows:
Full £25, Concession £16.75, Junior £5, 8-day £9 and 1-day £3.50. Concessionary licences are for people who are: a) over 65 years of age or b) in possession of a Blue Badge parking concession or in receipt of Disability Living Allowance.
The licences can be bought from any Post Office or by ringing 0870 166 2662. Full and Junior licences can also be bought online - go to www.environment-agency.gov.uk to purchase your licence or get any other information you may require.
Please remember to get your licence before you go out on the bank, don't risk a fine or prosecution.

SERCK AUDCO AC
The results of the match fished on Long Lane Pool last Sunday were as follows:
1. Phil Bowen (peg 14) 21.6.0 - 4 carp including one of 9.9.0. 2. Stuart Miles (peg 2) 13.3.0 - 3 carp.
3. John Buttery (peg 4) 12.6.0 - 4 carp 4. Bob Pritchard (peg 17) 11.15.0 - 5 carp.
League to date: 1. Bob Pritchard 17 points 2. Phil Bowen 16 pts 3. John Buttery 15 pts Joint 4. Mike Pengelly and Stuart Miles 12 pts each.
The next match in the series is scheduled to be fished on Sunday, April 20.
There is an Open Match on the Newport Canal tomorrow. Draw 9am, fish 10am - 3pm, fee £10 all in.

Memberships are renewable from January 1 and fees for 2008 are as follows: Adults £25, OAP/Disabled £17, Juniors £10. Proof required for OAP/Disabled (eg. Blue Badge). New membership cards are available from Newport Tackle (tel. 01952 820334) and other usual outlets.
The match schedule for 2008 is included in the new cards and can also be found on the website, or phone Bob Pritchard as above.
Further Saturday Open matches are scheduled as follows: May 3 - Ray Davies Open, May 31 - Audco AC Pairs Open, July 5 - McMillan Charity Open, August 2 - Len Boniface Open, Sept. 6 - Whitecroft Dairies Open and further Audco AC Opens on Sept. 20, Oct. 4, Oct. 18, Nov. 1, Nov. 15 and Dec. 6. All draw times 9am, fish 10am - 3pm, fee £10.
Mondaynight Opens on the Newport Canal will start this year on May 26 - Ian Williams Open, and continue every Mondaynight until July 28 (10 matches). All draw times 5.30pm, fish 6-9pm, fees £10 all in.

WOODCOTE LEAGUE
Teams of 4 are competing in the Woodcote League which consists of a total of six matches. The fifth match in the league was fished last Sunday, with the following results:
