CLOSED SEASON
All anglers please note that the closed season is now in force and all rivers will be closed until the June 16.
E.A. ROD LICENCE
The new Environment Agency Rod Licence is due from April 1. Fees for 2009/10 are: Adults £26, Concessions £17.25, Juniors £5. These are available from Post Offices, by phone 0870 166 2662, or online @ www.environment-agency.gov.uk/fish. Make sure you have an up-to-date rod licence, fines are steep once you get caught without.
SERCK AUDCO AC
The third match in the Spring Series will be fished on Long Lane Pool on Sunday, April 26. Draw 9am, fish 10am - 3pm, fee £10 all in.
The Pairs Open Match is scheduled to be fished on the Newport Canal on Saturday, May 2. Draw 9am, fish 10am-3pm. Bookings for this match can now be taken.

LILLESHALL & DISTRICT AS

Membership cards for 2009 are available from Newport Tackle at the following fees: Adults £9, Concessions/Juniors £4.50.
MARKET DRAYTON ANGLERS
Memberships are due for renewal from April 1, and are available from Newport Tackle. Fees for 2009/2010 are: Adults £25, AOP/Disabled £20, Juniors under-16 £15.

STOKE CITY & DISTRICT AS
Membership cards for 2009 are available from Newport Tackle. All categories are £15.
TELFORD ANGLING ASSOCIATION
Memberships for the TAA are valid until May 31, 2009 and are available from Newport Tackle at half price. Fees: Seniors £13.50, Concessions and Juniors £8.25. The Newport Basin stretch is one of the waters included in this membership. Day-tickets for this stretch are also available as above.
KINGSWELL POOL
Memberships were due for renewal from April 1, and are now available from Newport Tackle at £20 for all categories. Day tickets @ £4 are also available, these need to be purchased from Newport Tackle prior to fishing.

WESTON-UNDER-LIZARD AC
Memberships for 2009/2010 were renewable from 1 March 2009, and are available from Newport Tackle.
Adults £70, Concessions £40 (proof required - copy of Blue Badge for disabled, date of birth for OAP) and Juniors £25.
The next match on Church Pool will be fished this Sunday, draw 7am, fish 8am-1pm. The next match on Swan Pit will be fished on Sunday, April 26. Draw 8am, fish 9am-2pm.

AUDLEM AC
An overnight frost made sport difficult in the latest match fished at Buerton Fishery last Sunday. Andy Peate managed to find small carp and chub on pellet and meat to put 13 2 0 on the scales in a tight frame to win from Richard Butler who scaled 10 12 0, also carp and chub on pellet and corn. Third was Neil Purcell who had all carp for 9 13 0.
The next match will be at Parkers Pool on Sunday 26th April
ODDFELLOWS AC
Members fished their second match of the season at Stirchley (bottom) pool last Sunday, with the following results:
1. Dave Edwards 12.4.0 2. John Buttery 5.3.0 3. Brian Matthews 3.7.0. All three were fishing pellet, maggot and caster up in the water.
The club has their match schedule in place for 2009 which consists of 30 matches to be fished between now and November 1 on a number of different venues, a full list of which can be obtained from Newport Tackle. New members are welcome to join the club. The joining fee is £10 and the fee for the matches is £12 (peg fee £6, league £1, pay out £5). HODNET AC
Members fished their match at Plewes Pool last Sunday. The results were as follows:
1. Brian Pugh 13.13.0 - skimmers and roach. 2. Bob Parish 10.13.0 - tench and skimmers. 3. Ian Ellis 10.7.0 - carp and bream.
